Things We Sometimes Forget

DAY 3 OF 7

That's Truly REMARKABLE!

Do you ever come across certain Bible verses that sound nice at first read but don't quite hit home in your heart?

For years, I felt that way about this particular verse:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV).

Sure, it's already a powerful verse, but when I recently realized what it truly means, I just had to share it with you! I didn’t really understand the English words “handiwork” or “workmanship,” so I started researching. And lo and behold—wow—when you trace this back to the Greek, it means that we are “people with remarkable abilities, remarkable quality!” Doesn't that just hit you differently?

YOU are a person with remarkable abilities, remarkable quality!

And within this context, God finds it perfectly okay that you also have weaknesses. That you don't have to be super amazing at everything, that you have your flaws, and yet He says, “You are My Work with remarkable abilities, yes, remarkable quality!”

So, stop focusing on what doesn't sit right when you have everything you need to do the good works God has prepared in advance for you! People long to see Jesus—and here's the kicker—to see Him through His Work, through YOU!

As you read this, join me in prayer:

Father, I am Yours. I am Your Work, so I am equipped with remarkable abilities and remarkable quality! Created to do good! Lead me through Your Holy Spirit and show me how to live! Today, I want to bring You joy and Glorify Your Name! Amen!”

You are a miracle!
