Things We Sometimes Forget

DAY 5 OF 7

Need a Boost?

Are you feeling discouraged?

Maybe you're wondering where God is right now, as you try to live for Him?

As I write these words to you, I'm feeling like that too. I'm essentially packed and ready to shoot five music videos in the coming days for worship songs that God has placed on my heart.

And now, so many things have gone wrong in the background that I wouldn't have enough space here to tell you everything in detail.

You know what I've decided to do now, even though I don't even know if the shoot will happen or not, whether I'll lose a lot of money or not?

I won't give any room to this unbelief—and I'll already trust: “I will experience God's intervention in time!”

Yes, time is ticking, yes, it doesn't look good… but in those moments, you always have the choice to either speak that out loud to everyone in panic: “This will never work out, I'll lose everything, maybe I misunderstood God and He didn't want me to do this.”

Or you stay steadfast and declare loudly: “I will experience God. No, I don't know how this can possibly turn out well anymore, but I know whom I can hold on to.”

Yes, there may be some tears, yes, doubts may try to creep in, but I won't give them more room than necessary. I'll play loud worship music, sing along, call friends I can pray with over the phone—and won't give unbelief and negative talk any room. Well, almost no room. Anything else would be inhuman.

And you know what else is “inhuman”? The truth that God is willing to help you in your situation! Because don't forget: what's impossible for humans is still possible for God—in His time!

Jesus said, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, NIV).

You are a miracle!
