Multiplying the Gospel // Gospel X - Multiplying the MessageSample
“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1.8b).
Jesus tells his disciples, and you today, that you will be his witness. You will be his witness in your local village, town and city, i.e. your “Jerusalem”. You will be his witness in your region and your country, i.e. your “Judea”. You will also be his witness in your neighbouring countries and those countries and people groups you have some kind of hostility with, i.e. your “Samaria”. You will be his witness throughout the world, with no exceptions, i.e. “the ends of the earth”. Many missionaries leave and left their country to serve in another country because of this task Jesus gave his disciples. Every disciple is called to be a witness. This does not mean that everyone needs to be a full-time missionary. On the contrary, some are called to do this witnessing full-time, but the majority of followers of Jesus, are called to witness wherever they are. In a natural way.
Where are you living?
Do you still live in your home town?
Did you move?
Is your natural setting “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria or the end of the world”?
Have you ever thought about yourself as a missionary? A missionary, that witnesses naturally, wherever you are? Can you imagine God seeing you as a witness to the Gospel for your neighbours where you live? What thoughts are coming to your mind when you think about it? Is this a new thought?
If this stresses you, read Acts 1.8a again: “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you”. God does not expect you to do it out of your own power, but He gave you the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help you, give you the strength, the courage, the words. He is not expecting something from you that you cannot do.
He gives you the help you need.

About this Plan
Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. This plan is part of a 5 week journey around the topic of Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel
