Sorry Not SorrySample
In our world today, it feels like truth is a concept that is harder and harder to be certain of. We live in a time of AI, media bias, clickbait headlines, and generated news. All that and more makes discerning what’s real—what’s true—incredibly difficult. With so much to mislead us, it’s important to hold on to what we know is true. The good news for us as believers is that we can find that truth in God’s Word.
In that truth, we find the absolute freedom that comes from a life following Jesus. Of course, living out of that truth isn’t always easy. There’s so much coming at us daily to threaten our ability to live out the truth and walk in freedom. When we hold grudges, for example, we’re not just harboring resentment and anger toward someone else; we’re also keeping ourselves hostage to the pain they’ve caused us. In other words, we’re not letting the truth of God’s Word and the power of forgiveness we find there set us free. That’s why we, as believers, must constantly remind ourselves that we’re called to something higher, something greater. We’re called to walk in truth and live in freedom. And anything that stands in the way of that? Well, it’s not worth our time or energy!
What is keeping you from finding the freedom that God has intended for you? Is it a grudge that keeps you focused on the unfair things? Is it the anger and frustration you feel when others don’t treat you the way you should be treated? This week, pray that God would remind you that, to walk in His truth and freedom, you have to walk away from what’s holding you back!

About this Plan
Forgiveness feels like something that we know we should do, but it isn’t always something we actually do. We all sometimes find it hard to live out forgiveness in our everyday lives. It’s hard to find a way to let go, but what if there is a way to let go and forgive? In this devotional, we’ll look at the way forgiveness can work in our lives to move us toward freedom for ourselves and others.
