We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 159 of 365
Psalm 144 paints a vivid picture of God as our warrior, the one who “trains my hands for battle” and “my fingers for war.” This imagery reminds us that we’re not in life’s battles alone; God equips and strengthens us to face each challenge. The Holy Spirit empowers us with courage and resilience, enabling us to stand firm in faith, even in the face of adversity.
In John 18, Jesus willingly steps into His final hours, showing steadfast resolve as He faces betrayal and arrest. His obedience is a powerful example of surrender and trust in God’s plan. The Spirit calls us to this same resolve, trusting God’s strength to carry us through every battle and giving us the courage to walk in obedience.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to prepare and strengthen you for the challenges you face. Let Him equip you with the courage to stand firm in faith, trusting that God is your protector and guide. As you rely on His strength, walk forward with confidence, knowing He fights for you and equips you for every battle.
