In Proverbs 3, we are urged to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” This counsel resonates as we look to the cross in John 19, where Jesus laid down His life with complete obedience and love. Here, Jesus surrendered entirely to the Father’s will, showing that true wisdom often requires letting go of control and trusting God’s greater purpose, even beyond our comprehension.
At the cross, the Holy Spirit reveals that wisdom is more than knowledge; it’s a humble surrender to God’s ways. Jesus’ sacrifice teaches us that God’s plan may not always make sense to us, but it is always rooted in love and purpose. As Jesus entrusted His spirit to the Father, we too are called to trust God fully, regardless of what we face.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to deepen your trust in God’s wisdom. Meditate on the cross as the ultimate act of divine wisdom and surrender. Let it inspire you to release control and trust that God’s love is leading you to a life of true purpose and peace.
