In 1 Kings 3, Solomon asks God for wisdom, seeking a discerning heart to lead His people with justice. God is pleased with this request, granting him exceptional wisdom. Proverbs 1 reinforces that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” This awe for God is foundational to understanding His ways. The Holy Spirit instills this sacred fear, guiding us to honor God and seek His counsel in every area of life.
In John 19, Jesus endures His trial and crucifixion, remaining fully surrendered to the Father’s will. This act reveals wisdom rooted in deep reverence. The Spirit calls us to live with this same surrender, understanding that true wisdom often means laying aside our desires to embrace God’s perfect plan.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to deepen your reverence for God and cultivate a heart that walks in His wisdom. As you seek Him, may you grow in understanding and experience peace from living in awe of the Lord. Let His wisdom guide your steps, filling your life with purpose and trust in His sovereignty.
