We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 111 of 365
Judges 19-21 reveals the devastation that occurs when people abandon God’s ways. Israel’s moral collapse leads to violence and tragedy, highlighting humanity’s deep need for God’s justice and mercy. The Holy Spirit reminds us that justice and mercy are two sides of God’s character; His justice confronts sin, while His mercy offers redemption. When we seek justice, we must also carry the heart of mercy, allowing God’s grace to restore and redeem.
In Luke 16, Jesus challenges us to examine our priorities and use our resources for God’s kingdom, reminding us that God’s justice extends even to how we handle worldly wealth. The Spirit convicts us to steward our resources with integrity and compassion, seeking opportunities to bring God’s love into broken places.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to help you balance justice with mercy in every area of life. Ask Him to guide you in your pursuit of righteousness, not only seeking fairness but extending grace. Let His presence shape your heart to reflect the compassion and integrity of God’s character in a world longing for both justice and mercy.
