We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 108 OF 365

Day 108 of 365

In Judges 11, Jephthah, despite being rejected by his family, is chosen by God to deliver Israel. His story reminds us that God’s mercy reaches beyond human judgments and labels. The Holy Spirit reveals that no matter our past, God’s mercy can transform and redeem us, using our lives for His purposes. God doesn’t define us by our failures or our backgrounds but by His love and calling.

In Luke 13, Jesus mourns over Jerusalem, desiring to gather the people to Himself like a hen gathers her chicks. The Spirit helps us understand the depth of God’s mercy, which longs to bring us close and shelter us, despite our mistakes and waywardness.

Today, invite the Spirit to deepen your awareness of God’s mercy. Reflect on how He has brought you from rejection to redemption, and allow His mercy to transform your heart, leading you to extend that same grace and compassion to others.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
