21 Days of PresenceSample
Day 16: Walking with Integrity
Focus Scripture:
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” – Proverbs 11:3
Talent, skill, and giftedness are all great things to have. However, none of these things matter if they are wrapped in poor character. Operating in God’s order calls us to walk with integrity in all areas of our lives—both when others are watching and when we think no one is paying attention. If your integrity only works when there are eyes on you, that’s not integrity, it’s performance.
The consistency between our public and private selves reflects God’s character and is a testament to our commitment to live according to His standards. When we choose to be honest, transparent, and faithful, even when it’s difficult or costly, we are proving to be people God can trust. Today’s choice to move with integrity and standards might not yield immediate rewards, but over time, they build a foundation of credibility and respect, both with others and with God. And that’s what matters.
Integrity is not just about doing the right thing; it’s about positioning ourselves to step into the fullness of what God has planned for us, trusting that He rewards those who are faithful in the small things.
Reflection Prompt:
- Are there areas in your life where you are tempted to compromise on your integrity?
- How can you stay true to God’s order and principles in those areas?
Call to Action:
Choose one area where you can walk with greater integrity today. Make a decision to align your actions with your values, even if it feels difficult.
