The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1Sample
Today, we’re spending a second day on an introduction to the Bible. There are times when we doubt if the Bible is true. Is Jesus for real? We don’t have any video of Jesus from those days. The Bible’s most recent books were written two thousand years ago. We’ll look at a portion of a letter written by the Apostle Peter. That letter is one of the books in the New Testament. Peter was one of Jesus’ closest followers. He spent a lot of time with Jesus. He also talks about the validity of the Old Testament and its prophets, which pointed to Jesus. Let’s look at 2 Peter chapter 1 verses 16-21.
Reflection:
What phrases in this passage deal with reality of Jesus and the validity of the Bible? What makes the Bible different than other books (verse 20)?
Scripture
