The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1Sample

Hey there! Thanks for being a part of this! We’re in the middle of our study on the introduction to the Bible. Today, we’re focusing on how we should respond to the Bible. As the Israelites are preparing to begin their conquest of the land that God had promised, God has a specific message for His people as they begin that journey. If you were a general, what would you tell your troops before a series of battles? Let’s find out what God tells Joshua in Joshua chapter 1, verses 8 and 9.
Reflection:
God wants us to obey him. How does this passage suggest we do that? “Meditate” means to think about, or ponder, or reflect. Memorizing a verse in the Bible is one way to meditate. As you memorize a verse, think about what it means and what God wants you to know and remember. Try it by memorizing Joshua 1:8-9. It’s a great way to remember that God is with you.
