The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1Sample

Thanks for continuing to study the topic of love with us this week. As we’ve been focusing on God’s love for us, I pray you’ve been encouraged by his love for you. The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:19 that God’s love is so great that we can’t understand how great it is. I pray that you and I will continue to grow in that knowledge in the coming days. As I think about God’s love for me and all that he has done for me, I want to respond. I want to do what He wants me to do. How do I do that? Well, an expert in the law asked Jesus, “Which is the greatest commandment?” We’ll look at his answer in Matthew chapter 22, verses 34-40 today.

Reflection:

God loves us perfectly and he wants us to respond by loving him with our entire being. As you seek to love him completely, what diminishes your love for him? As we seek to reflect God’s love to others, who are the people around you that are difficult to love? Ask God for wisdom and strength to love those people.
