DEFINE THE WIN

One of the most common mistakes in any organisation is failing to define a win.

What does a win look like?

Here Paul encourages us to be “built up” but then goes on to define it.

Ephesians 4:13-14
...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

THE GOAL IS MATURITY. One of the signs of maturity is knowing what we believe and sticking with it instead of running with “the latest and greatest” or just following along with public opinion.

A good question to ask is, "How easily do I get thrown off course"?

This is one of the functions of the local church. It keeps us planted and rooted in truth as we keep each other accountable.

Ephesians 4:15

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Truth without love is hard.

Love without truth is a lie.

Prov 27:6 AMP
Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern],
But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda].
