God's Purposes With Israel

DAY 6 OF 6

Day 6 - All nations

It almost seems like a utopian vision of the future, but the Bible shows us in these texts where this plan for Israel will ultimately lead. Its fulfillment will permeate every aspect of creation.

The world will realize that God's Word is true. The nations will flock to Jerusalem because that is where God's Word is. They will want to learn His ways. Zechariah writes that in that time Israel will have the privilege of bringing people to God. People will hold on to Jews by their clothes because they will know that God is with them.

Isaiah also adds where that will lead. If the world walks in God's ways, there will be no more wars. Tools of war will be turned into agricultural implements. Evil will be transformed into good. All the energy we as humans spend fighting each other now, we will put into loving each other!

Eventually, all of creation, heaven, and earth, will become new. All evil, everything that caused separation between God and humans will be gone, and God himself will live among people. What a prospect!

Give thanks to God today for this wonderful prospect and pray for the coming of the Messiah, Who will make everything new.
