Daily Direction Reading Plan

DAY 2 OF 365

A university study in London, England, found a connection between unfair treatment on the job and a person’s health. The study found that when a boss mistreats an employee, the employee is more likely to become physically or mentally impaired or even have a heart attack! The study shows that when we mistreat others, we may be damaging their health. Perhaps that is one reason the Bible urges us to love one another and treat others fairly. It is why God reserves the right to judge each of us Himself. He judges with perfect fairness. Here is what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 2 about the fairness of God’s judgment: “There is going to come a day of judgment when God, the just judge of all the world, will judge all people according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But He will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on sinning. There will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good. For God does not show favoritism.” As followers of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, we aim to imitate God. We aim to treat all people fairly—whether they are close relatives, other ethnicities, or foreigners.
