The Gospel of MarkSample
In the second story, we again see a healing happen because of the help and faith of others.
Jesus chooses to heal this man in a unique way to show people that it is not by any one way
that God can or will bring healing. It is unique to each individual. In verse 34, Jesus looks up to
Heaven and sighs. This is a groan of compassion in response to the effects of sin and sorrow
that has come into the world. We serve a God that is familiar with grief and who plans to redeem
all things, making all things whole, the way it was designed to be.
