Better Call Paul

With the approval of the high priest, Saul, the prideful, smarty-pants religious scholar, called for Christians to be stoned to death. He was blind to his own sins until he met Jesus on the road to Damascus and was physically blinded by God’s light. There, Saul the Scholar began his transformation into a new creature in Christ known as Paul the Apostle.

Sweet Spoonful: Saul was zealous for God’s law until he encountered God’s grace. Jesus knew that Paul would be as zealous to share the gospel as he had been to persecute believers.

Lord, please bind to my heart the truth that your grace fulfills the law. Help me to share the good news with a loving heart instead of judging the sins of others.
