Operation You

Did you ever play the Operation Game when you were a kid? You poked inside Cavity Sam with “electro probe tweezers” to pull out fanciful internal organs like funny bones and spare ribs, even a broken heart. Like Sam, most of us carry around useless odds and ends that God would be happy to relieve us of. But sometimes it’s hard to let go. The buzzer goes off. Sam’s red nose lights up, and the burden falls right back into place.

Sweet Spoonful: The prognosis is simple. Trust God with the tweezers, and he will light up your life.

Father God, I submit to your authority and ask you to extract “the precious from the vile” (Jeremiah 15:19 NKJV) and to fill those empty spaces with more of you.
