What the Bible Says About...Sample
We Were Lost Sheep
I have strayed like a lost sheep ... We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
This is the fate of those who trust in themselves … They are like sheep and are destined to die; death will be their shepherd.
O God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture? ... My people have been lost sheep … They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place … the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd ... When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.
For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
