What the Bible Says About...

DAY 48 OF 365

Do Not Do to Others

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

Do not deceive one another. … Do not plot evil against each other. … Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. … Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another.

And let us consider … not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing.

I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.
