What Color Is God’s Love?Sample
Day 5: Living by Faith Together
“All the colors displayed in this world that God made—every glorious, fabulous, beautiful shade—show how good God is and will always be.”
Some days don’t go as planned. Sometimes, bad things happen. We can feel blue (sad or grumpy) and not even know why. Feelings are hard to understand. But Jesus understands all our feelings.
God designed emotions. He invites us to talk to Him, and even some of His people, about how we feel. The Bible is filled with stories of people who told God how they felt. They trusted God and lived by faith together with peace-filled hearts, especially on hard days! And the Bible says we’re not supposed to live alone. We need God and one another!
Activity:
Draw a large heart on a piece of paper. Create a mosaic heart by drawing straight lines from one end of your sheet of paper to the other, going through your heart to create a mosaic pattern.
List different emotions you feel inside the shapes, such as happy, calm, sad, angry, brave, afraid, and more. Color each shape and ask God to help you trust Him with each feeling.
Bonus: Share with a friend or family member how God is helping you with your feelings.
Pray:
Loving God, thanks for creating my feelings, even the ones that make me feel mixed up, and helping me live by faith with others who love and live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
