Day 6: Start Now!

The most important commandment in Scripture is to love God and love others. As we have gone a little more in-depth into how we can love God with all of our hearts, minds, souls, and strength (muchness), you will notice that as you love God more and with all you are, you will also start loving people more.

If you take nothing else from this Bible study plan, take this truth—God loves YOU, and He desires a true and deep relationship with YOU. You do not have to do anything to earn His love or forgiveness. He loves you because He loves you, and that is it.

That being said, you also don’t gain a true friendship if you don’t make an effort to talk to someone, spend time with them, and get to know them. We must be intentional about taking time to talk to God, listen to God, and learn about God, and while yes, these things should and do happen within the walls of church, they should also be happening in your daily life.

This is where our new habits come in! Don’t end this study where you started it; let’s all be intentional about coming up with the next steps on how we can better love God in each of the four areas we talked about this week! Don’t feel bad about going back and re-reading through the days as you do this. This is about growth in your relationship with God; it is important and is worth your time, I promise.

Next Steps

Reflect on all the ways we are called to love God and write down how you can better do that in your life today. Be practical with the next steps and plans of action; the more specific you get here, the more likely it is to happen!
