Altar EgoSample
In today’s world, we are bombarded with the message that we should get what we want now. Self-discipline is something that seems to be increasingly lacking; however, this is not a new problem and has been around since the beginning of time. All throughout the Bible you will find examples of people giving into their fleshly desires such as Eve who gave into the serpent and disobeyed God by eating the fruit. We see it with Moses when he took revenge and killed another man, or when David committed adultery with Bathsheba. Take time today to reflect on where you have an entitled ego in your life. Honestly examine yourself and see where you are lacking self-discipline and the effect it’s having in your life. Where in your life are you struggling with self-discipline?

About this Plan
If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
