Altar EgoSample
As you work toward overcoming an entitled ego by trading the immediate for the ultimate, also attempt to seek God. Rather than being driven by your own fleshly desires, you are going to seek God with all of your heart until His desires become your desires. Psalm 37:4 says that if you delight in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart. You should enjoy God and delight in Him. The more you enjoy God, the more your heart will soften, allowing His desires to become your own. Rather than desiring something that’s ungodly, you will desire the same things that God desires. In what ways do your desires match up with God’s? In which ways do they not match up?

About this Plan
If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
