Altar EgoSample
If you’re trading in the ultimate for the immediate, then beginning today you are going to work on obtaining an altar ego. You are going to take steps to stop allowing your desires trick you into doing something ungodly or unproductive. Instead of trading the ultimate for the immediate, you are going to learn to trade the immediate for the ultimate. Learn to give up something you love now for something you love even more later. When you know who you are, you’ll sacrifice what you want, in order to become the person God wants you to be. Describe a time when you sacrificed the ultimate for the immediate. What did you learn from your experience?
About this Plan
If you have ever felt insecure, inadequate, or insufficient, then this 35-day reading plan is for you. Instead of living with an outward-driven ego, this plan will help you gain an Altar Ego that is focused more inward. Each day, you will read scriptures and a short devotional that will enable you to begin transforming your ego by laying down your worldly self-image and replacing it with God’s view of you. You are not yet who you are supposed to be, but you can begin the process today of growing into who you are supposed to be in God’s eyes.
