In the Garden With Jesus - a Lent Journey for TeensSample
Walk with me Jesus, slowly
Jesus came to earth, knowing that His suffering and death would set us free. That was His mission. Now, His request in this verse does not make complete sense - He’s asking God to take away the suffering and pain…
Naturally, we also tend to choose that same route of no pain and suffering. It’s only human.
However, during this time of Lent we are invited to ask Jesus to walk with us, slowly, on our journeys of pain and suffering.
Every week ends with a reflection exercise that looks back at the week’s happenings and movements.
Exercise:
Do a reflection prayer as you look back over your week. What stayed with you? What moved within you? What are you wondering about?
Prayer:
God, I ask for a deep awareness of Your love for me and Your work in me.

About this Plan
You are invited to a Lent journey where we will spend 40 days with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane - the place where He was extremely vulnerable and open to the Father’s will. Here, He shows us a glimpse of His courage to wrestle with His humanity.
