In the Garden With Jesus - a Lent Journey for TeensSample

Forgotten pain
For the next 40 days, we'll embark on a journey. A journey that invites you to set apart some time, to let your imagination be captivated by Jesus’ life and suffering on earth. You are invited to use your imagination to place yourself into the stories and life of Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to touch your heart afresh and guide you into a closer relationship with the suffering Jesus. You can also ask for the grace of tears as we near the crucifixion.
In churches all around the world, the sign of the cross is made with ashes on the foreheads of many Christians. It symbolises that our journey as human beings starts with dust. Creation tells the story of how God takes dust, forms us, breathes his breath into our lungs - and we become living souls.
Exercise:
How is it for you to hear, “you are dust”? Write some thoughts down.
Prayer:
God, I ask for a deep awareness of Your love for me and Your work in me.

About this Plan

You are invited to a Lent journey where we will spend 40 days with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane - the place where He was extremely vulnerable and open to the Father’s will. Here, He shows us a glimpse of His courage to wrestle with His humanity.
