Journaling Through LentSample

Renewal of Surrender
Jesus says in John chapter 12 that unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it can’t multiply and produce more wheat. Total surrender and death to ourselves is the only passage to true Kingdom impact and bearing fruit that will last.
Sadly, we all struggle in this area. We cling to areas of our lives and refuse to lay them down at the altar and invite God to invade these areas. It’s a fierce battle between the spirit and the flesh. We deeply desire to do great things for God, but we feel unable to make great sacrifices for Him.
I want to challenge you today to renew your surrender to God's will. Offer yourself as a living sacrifice, yielding to His plans. Remember that true life is found in living by faith in Christ, who gave Himself for you.
Journaling Prompt:
Create a visual representation of surrender. Use symbols and colors that convey the beauty and freedom found in yielding to God's will.
About this Plan

This 40-day Lenten devotional will help you meditate on the themes of Repentance, Renewal, Remembrance, and Remission in the lead-up to Easter. Each day, you will focus on one theme, meditate on a portion of Scripture, and use a journaling prompt to encourage you to internalize what God is saying by expressing yourself through the creative art of journaling.
