Journaling Through LentSample

Renewal of Gratitude
I’ve been through experiences in life that have rendered me a cynic. I often struggle to see the silver lining and tend to worry and stress over challenging situations. Since I focus on the negative so much, it takes a lot of intentionality and desire for me to practice gratitude.
If you’ve similarly struggled to practice gratitude, I encourage you to come to God today and ask Him to renew your thankful heart. Give thanks in all circumstances, acknowledging God's goodness. Meditate on the countless benefits of His love and express gratitude for the blessings He has bestowed upon you.
Journaling Prompt:
Create a visual representation of gratitude. Use colors and symbols that convey the joy and richness found in a heart that continually gives thanks.

About this Plan

This 40-day Lenten devotional will help you meditate on the themes of Repentance, Renewal, Remembrance, and Remission in the lead-up to Easter. Each day, you will focus on one theme, meditate on a portion of Scripture, and use a journaling prompt to encourage you to internalize what God is saying by expressing yourself through the creative art of journaling.
