Two Kingdoms - Part 4Sample

These are the last words that Jesus speaks on the mountain! It’s His grand finale, and He closes out His sermon, showing us the two types of people in the world!

GO DEEP

According to the story, both the wise man and the foolish man heard His words (v24 & 26). Both men faced the chaos of a storm, but only one guy followed Jesus’ words and advice. The wise man outlasted the chaos and destruction of the empire here on earth, and the foolish guy fell with a great crash.

The people of the Kingdom can be a firm foundation - HOPE. Salt. Light. - to every generation and difficult season. It is who we are! Seasons, chaos, and destruction will cycle through, but the people of the kingdom will stand firm until the end.

BE BOLD

We have studied Jesus’ epic words as He sat on the mountain with His followers throughout this study. We’ve heard His voice. We’ve prayed over His advice and commands. Now it’s up to you. How will you live in this earthly kingdom so the Kingdom of God is Seen? Will you live His words with perseverance, or will you enjoy them for a moment but continue down your own path?

How can we help each other not waiver from being the “Rock Guy”: not just hearing God’s words but living them out every day? When the big storms hit us, how can we support each other? If you haven’t joined a small group, now is the time to surround yourself with others like you who are focused on making God’s Kingdom seen.
