God Sings Songs For The Forgotten

DAY 5 OF 10

"God Sings Songs Acknowledging Our Enemy"

The truth of the matter is, we have three real enemies in this world: ourselves, others and Satan and his army. The Scripture tells us that folly is bound up in us since our birth (we are our own worst enemy—Ps. 22:15), there are enemies in our own places of work and play that want to kill and destroy us (other people—Ps. 63:9), and there is a real spiritual reality of Satan and his legions of demons; as he is like a lion that prowls around ready to destroy us in condemnation and conscience (1 Pt. 5:8).

Whether we readily admit there are enemies, or agree that we ourselves can actually be dangerous to our own joy, the Bible is clear that without God, we, our neighbor, and the Devil, seek only to bind life into traps prepared for our downfall.

The hope is, we have a God who not only saves us from our enemies, including ourselves, but also gives us songs to stay ready and prepared to do battle. Download our Songs of the Forgotten album, and alert yourself to the battle for your soul, and prepare to fight evil by resting in the fact that Christ has already won!!!

About this Plan

God Sings Songs For The Forgotten

Are you ever brought to sorrow over life’s sufferings? Do you feel hopeless in the face of injustice in the world? God sings songs for those seemingly forgotten. In the Psalms, two genres of song that are often overlooked are the Lament Psalms (songs of sorrow), and the Imprecatory Psalms (songs of injustice). Join this 10-Day study and allow God to bring healing and hope to you through his songs.
