From Empty To Full
In this chapter, John is telling us that Jesus not only can provide bread, but he IS the bread of life. Furthermore, since this was the season of Passover, Christ’s claim harked back to Israel’s amazing deliverance as well. Without Him our lives are empty; with Him, we are full. Without Him we are feeding on life’s ‘junk food’; with Him we are feeding on essential nutrition. Are you hungry today?
Prayer: Dear Lord, may we be always hungry for your Word, your truth, and yourself. For you are the bread of life with which our life is full. We want more of you and less of us. Help us to cast our eyes on you and put our hope in your pledge. You are all that we long for, quench our thirst and fill our hunger. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
About this Plan
How do we live our lives in the Kingdom of God on earth? How do we feed ourselves with the Word of God? By reading the Bible. But how do we grasp all the Bible has to offer in an easy and enjoyable way? This reading plan spans one year with daily bite-sized chunks of devotions and scripture to help you stay focused, at a comfortable pace and without overwhelming yourself. As you begin your walk through the bible, you’ll see the God’s Kingdom reveal itself and you’ll start to hear, read, study, memorize, meditate, and apply God's word in your life.
