Works
A key word in today’s Scripture reading in Psalm 111 is “works.” Common Physics explains “Work is done when a force that is applied to an object moves that object. The work is calculated by multiplying the force by the amount of movement of an object (W = F x d).” When we see the works of God we find “splendour and majesty,” “His wondrous works will be remembered,” “His works providing food for those who fear Him,” “His works give people the inheritance of nations,” and “the works of His Hands are faithful and just.” Is it possible that God’s works “move” in us to believe in Him? If that is the case, then we are amazed and “moved” to glorify His mighty name!
Prayer: Lord God, Almighty, Your works glorify You and I praise You forever more. May You open my eyes so I can see Your majesty and holiness. Praise Your Almighty Name! Amen.
