Worth SharingSample
When you turn on the news, what do you hear about first? Do you hear stories of friendship? Do you see enemies making peace with one another? Unfortunately, that is not what is typically highlighted in the news. Instead, we consistently hear about division and conflict.
It seems like division is the norm these days. This has trickled down into our lives, impacting our friendships at school, to the comments we are leaving and reading on social media. If someone doesn't think, act, dress, look, or believe like us, it's easy to draw a line in the sand and move on.
What if Jesus wants to remind us we can love each other, even if we don't see eye to eye on everything? We all have disagreements from time to time, but what if we choose to listen and honor the person instead of walking away? What if we put the relationship ahead of trying to prove that we're right?
If you find this difficult, you're not alone. Choosing to stick around in a friendship where you don't agree on everything feels like you're fighting against gravity...but that is where God's help comes in.
Our Scripture today reminds us that God knows our weaknesses, and God can help us listen, show value, and honor our friends. We can always learn from others, even if they have different perspectives than we do. Listening and learning don't come easy in the face of conflict, but we can trust that God will help us when we feel weak.

About this Plan
For the next four weeks, we'll follow the story of Samuel to see how God called him to share his faith through his words and actions. We'll discover how God invites us to share the Good News, see why sharing the Good News should start with prayer, explore what to do when sharing the Good News sometimes requires risk, and see how sharing the Good News can happen every day.
