Worth SharingSample
Have you ever wondered how you should pray for others? Sometimes it can feel very overwhelming. If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone.
Thankfully, in today's Scripture, Jesus gives us several ideas of how we pray for ourselves and for others.
First, we can start by giving thanks. We can express gratitude for God's love, peace, and hope and give thanks for the people God has brought into our lives.
We can also ask God to bring restoration to the broken relationships and situations in the world around us. Through prayer, God can bring healing to our friends who may be experiencing heartbreak, loneliness, or fear.
In prayer, we can ask God to provide what we need today. Sometimes it is overwhelming to think about the big picture, but if we just focus on today, it makes our challenges feel more manageable. We can trust God will show up to help us each day, and we can trust that God will help our friends, too.
We may need to ask for forgiveness for the ways we've caused pain. God isn't angry at us. Instead, God wants to hold the guilt and shame we carry. So, we can ask God to forgive us and help us forgive others who have hurt us.
Finally, we can pray for our friends, asking God to give them wisdom so that they don't make choices that cause themselves, or others, harm.

About this Plan
For the next four weeks, we'll follow the story of Samuel to see how God called him to share his faith through his words and actions. We'll discover how God invites us to share the Good News, see why sharing the Good News should start with prayer, explore what to do when sharing the Good News sometimes requires risk, and see how sharing the Good News can happen every day.
