DAY 19 OF 28

How many times have you been asked what you want to do in the future? It's hard to know what to do in the future when you're still facing new challenges and difficult decisions right now. We might look to our friends and see them make different choices and wonder if we're making a mistake. Despite this challenge, we are asked to lead with integrity and be an example to those around us.

When we lead with integrity, we show people a glimpse of Jesus was like. We are more like him when we admit a mistake, say sorry for something we said, and when we show up in a kind way for others. When we choose to have integrity, it helps us build strong and trusting relationships with those we care about.

This week, think about how you talk and act with your friends and family. Do you think you lead with integrity? As you reflect on this, choose one way to lead with integrity this week. It could be a step to be honest and transparent with a trusted adult about something you struggle with, keeping your word to your parents even when you don’t want to, refusing to spread a rumor, or working hard to study so you can pass the big test.

Leading with integrity is not always easy, but it is always worth it.
