Conversations To ConnectionsSample
Surrender
Jesus said in Matthew 11 that "the burden He gives us is light." At first, that doesn't seem true. Many Christians get sick, have financial problems or live under an oppressive regime. That seems like a heavy burden. So is there something that we’re missing or we need to see different to understand this? Tim Timmons shares an idea that can help us with this concept.

Jesus was talking to people who were living under a long list of religious rules and regulations. By making this statement, Jesus was directing them to change their thinking. Rather than trying to live up to expectations, we are to surrender to Him. Jesus isn’t promising to take away all our problems. He is asking us to trust Him - to be “connected” to Christ. As Tim said, surrendering our burden to God in prayer is a great first step. We can take comfort in knowing that our constant connection to Christ means that we are never alone.>

About this Plan
Viewing prayer as an ongoing conversation with God is a great way to develop a life of prayer. We should seek to move those conversations to heart-felt connections with God. Each of the five days contains a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests talk about what they have learned about connecting with God in prayer. We cover intimacy, praise, consistency, praying always and surrender to Jesus.
