Conversations To ConnectionsSample
Without Ceasing
The image of ocean waves is a good reminder of what our prayer lives should look like. Waves are constant. When you stand at the sea shore, you see that although there are subtle patterns from wave to wave, they keep coming. There are times where they are a small ripple. At other times they are a mighty wall of water. The constancy and intensity of our prayers should be similar. Vicki Courtney talks about prayer as being constant and without end.

“Without ceasing” doesn't mean that we are talking with God nonstop. It rather is an attitude of being aware that God is always with us. We can immediately turn to Him. Vicki talked about prayer as a continual conversation throughout the day. Is that how you view prayer? Good relationships involve talking and listening about everything with one another. That's how you connect at a heart level. Start viewing your day as one continual prayer conversation with God. Discuss everything with Him and be ready to listen well!
About this Plan
Viewing prayer as an ongoing conversation with God is a great way to develop a life of prayer. We should seek to move those conversations to heart-felt connections with God. Each of the five days contains a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests talk about what they have learned about connecting with God in prayer. We cover intimacy, praise, consistency, praying always and surrender to Jesus.
