THE SEED OF TRUST: UNSHAKABLE TRUST

Trust is a fundamental element of building a meaningful and fulfilling relationship with Christ. The foundation of any relationship that is anchored in Christ must be built on trust. Trust is not something that happens automatically but is nurtured over time. It is a constant process of growing in one's faith, seeking and surrendering to God, and allowing Him to work in our lives.

Unfortunately, trust can be broken through difficult circumstances or traumatic experiences that we face in our lives. This can lead to a sense of betrayal and hurt, which may make it challenging to trust others and even God. When we are hurt by others or experience traumatic events, our trust is often shattered. If we are not intentional about guarding our trust, we may start to doubt God's goodness and question His intentions.

We should not let our natural circumstances determine whom or what we trust.

Our trust should always be in the Lord, regardless of whether we experience success or adversity.

Difficulties in forms of heat waves and droughts will inevitably arise, but because we are blessed and trust in the only one who blesses us, we do not let our circumstances dictate our state of mind. Instead, we remain steadfast in our faith, knowing that our trust in the Lord will sustain us.

SOUL PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I come to You today, I am reminded of the promise in Your Word found in Jeremiah 17:7-8: "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit."

Lord, I thank You for the assurance that I can trust in You and find my hope in You. Help me to be like the tree described in this verse, planted by the waters and spreading out my roots, so that I may not fear when heat comes or be anxious in times of drought.

I pray for Your provision and blessing upon me, that I may bear fruit for Your glory. Help me to continue to trust in You, even when circumstances are difficult, and to have faith that You will sustain me and provide for me.

May my life be a testament to Your faithfulness, as I abide in You and bear fruit that brings honor and glory to Your name.
