What were some of the bad habits you had as a kid?
Come on, we all had them – in fact, some of us still do! Early on in life, many of us talked with food in our mouths. Some of us were notorious for our backwash. And you know you've seen people pick their noses like they're digging for gold!
As we get a little older, our bad habits transition to being on our phones too much, listening to our videos too loudly, and turning in our homework late.
But what about the good habits you've picked up as you've gotten older? Have you scheduled a consistent time to spend with God to connect with Him and let Him speak to you?
What about your connection with other Jesus followers? Do you look forward to the times you can come together and grow in your faith?
How about your morning habits? Do you wake up and pause to thank God for the day and ask for guidance?
All of these examples reflect the good work that God has done in your life. Take a moment to celebrate small habits like these.
Our key verses remind us to do two things every day: be consistently thankful for everything God's done in and through our lives, and to do everything in our lives — even homework and chores — as a way to worship God. It comes down to everyday habits like these. And over time, those small habits will make all the difference.

About this Plan
At the end of each year, we have the chance to reflect on everything that's happened and all of the people around us. There’s so much we can be thankful for every year — even if things didn’t work exactly how we planned. God has given us so much, and the birth of Jesus is a great way to focus on all of the gifts we’ve received this year.
