Blessings All Around Me

Because of all that the Son is, we have been given one blessing after another.

John 1:16 (CEV)

Do you know that God’s blessings are all around you? Take a look! The blue sky with air to breathe! The cooling shade from trees on a summer day! Ears to hear your friend laughing. The ground on which to jump, run, skip, and roll. The list is endless. You could thank God for these things all your life. And you should!

All the things God created are unique and do really cool things. The birds sing. The cat purrs. The stars shine. Flowers bloom. Even the bugs buzz! All these things are showing how great God is.

So join in singing, praising, and celebrating God, because you have been given the greatest blessing of them all— Jesus! Because of him you can be a child of God. And because you are part of God’s family, you can know your Father God will always take care of you.

Take some time this week to praise God for who he is and what he is doing in your life. You can sing to him, say a prayer, or simply chat with him whenever you want to talk.
