Do you see how these birds fly freely? Do you hear the wind as it freely rustles through the leaves? Do you notice how there is no restraint? This is how I want you to move through life…FREE.

I was at a women’s retreat, sitting in the grass on the edge of a beautiful lake in Seattle, listening to God. The sun was setting, and it was a gorgeous view. Nature, in its full glory, was breathtaking. In this moment, the Holy Spirit brought an awareness of how in all that I was looking at, there was palpable freedom present.

Your readiness is a gift from God, and it’s provided to you for reasons beyond that of helping you to accomplish your purpose. With the level of preparation and purpose for which God is positioning you comes a gift of freedom for your mind and spirit.

When you agree with God and follow Him with an obedient heart—not just into salvation, but daily, repeatedly—deeper into your purpose and deeper into the calling He has designed for you each day, you are developing a level of trust that frees you from worry. You see the great things that God has prepared for you becoming real in your life, and you realize that any previous inhibition that kept you from fully trusting God was simply a lie from the enemy, designed to keep you bound in worry.

In Christ’s freedom, you are truly free.

“So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.” John 8:36 (AMP)

Any areas in your life in which you don’t yet feel free are areas that require a greater level of awareness for the instructions God has designated, an agreement within you that God is right and worthy of your trust, as well as the courage and willingness to be obedient in following His instructions.

This is the freedom formula, and it’s the way you’re designed to live daily.

Today’s Affirmation

Today, I invite you to join me in a simple prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I know you’ve called me to this place for a reason. Thank you for the freedom you’ve designed for me, which is all-encompassing. When you set me free, I am unquestionably free. Release a new awareness in my spirit for your instruction, and bring a fresh wind and anointing of courage and willingness to follow you into my heart today. I believe that you have designed me to be free in every area of my life, and I thank you for it, in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
