God rarely uses the woman who thinks she’s ready. Instead, He uses the woman who has decided that she can do what God is calling her to do only with His help. He blesses her with strength, courage, resources, and influence because she trusts in His ability more than she trusts in her own ability.

Many of us can identify times in our lives when we wondered if we had what it took to do what God was calling us to do. We’ve questioned whether we had enough, if we were enough, and if we could do enough. Time, money, and other external factors are what we usually think of when we evaluate our ability. God doesn’t use our measures, though; God evaluates the condition of our hearts.

God’s definition of your readiness is measured in your reliance on Him and your willingness to be obedient—not in your resume, in the depth of your experience, or whether you believe you have enough resources to complete the job. It is the pure-hearted woman who will see God show up in her life and bless her extraordinarily!

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8

Beautiful, while the culture and man may look at what you have to offer externally, God is looking at what you have to offer internally. The Father searches your heart, looking for your agreement with His will. You don’t have to believe that you’re ready for your calling, for your purpose, or even for what God is asking of you. All you have to do is trust God for your next natural step and take it step by step. When you do, God promises to satisfy you with His blessings.

Today’s Affirmation

Today, the purpose that God has called you to is revealing itself. It feels familiar, and it feels inspiring. As you place your trust in God over and over again, He is enriching your spirit. He is strengthening your heart. He is helping you turn it all over to Him—placing your thoughts, your hopes, and your dreams in His loving hands. He cares for you, and He loves you deeply.
