Praise In the Presence of GodSample
Sing for Joy!
Both Judaism and Christianity are singing faiths. There are so many references to music and singing in the Psalms that they have been called Israel’s hymnbook. The word psalm actually means “song,” originally referring to the words sung to the accompaniment of a psaltery, an ancient stringed instrument. Psalm-singing was important from the very beginning of Christianity, especially to express the sheer exuberance and joy of a heart yielded to God.
You say you don’t have a good voice? You don’t know music? Remember. God likes your voice, so even if you never learn to carry a tune, use it. You carry around with you the most important instrument for singing—your heart!

About this Plan
Pastor Jack Hayford points the way to the life-changing pathway of praise. No matter how you feel, praise will shape what your experiences will become. When doubts come, praise God that His Word will never fail you. When fears taunt, praise God that His presence never leaves you. When questions arise, praise God that His wisdom holds every answer. Praise leads you to the One who assures peace beyond strife, hope beyond trial, joy beyond sorrow, and life beyond all.
