Experience Christmas: A Family DevotionalSample
“Adoration and Faithfulness”
Hear it - Listen to the song: “O Come All Ye Faithful” by Bethel Music Kids
Read it -
Once the shepherds knew God was with them, they quickly went to find Jesus. They weren’t the only ones though, as some wise men also came from a faraway land. They’d followed a star through the night just to come and adore the King who’d just been born. They adored baby Jesus, and brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
These wise men not only followed a star, they had followed God’s promises and found out they were true.
Others tried to come, but not to adore Jesus, to hurt Him. The wise men were not afraid, but were faithful with what they knew of Jesus. When we, like the wise men, follow what we know of Him, when we adore Him when others don’t, we too are faithful.
Say it -
I adore you, Jesus, even if others around me will not. No matter what anyone else does, I will follow your promises. I will be faithful.
Share it -
Like the wise men, take some time with your family and listen to the “O Come All Ye Faithful” song. Sing it toward Jesus, adoring Him together for a few minutes before you go about your day.

Matthew 2:11-12 After coming into the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way.
