DAY 2 OF 7

You Have Been Rescued, Redeemed, Restored, and Forgiven

By God’s grace, love, and mercy we have been totally redeemed. Set right before the God whose perspectives and beliefs are true above all else. When He says you are redeemed, that truth should shift your mindset: that truth should be the driver and motivator of how you act, believe, and think. Because of His redemptive love, through the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross, you were bought at a valuable price. Your redemption was a legal transaction where Jesus traded His blood for your life. He purchased your deliverance from bondage, from the kingdom of satan, and translated you into His own domain. Because of this holy transaction you were rescued, redeemed, restored, and forgiven. Talk about a revival! Now if that’s not shouting words, we need to check your pulse! Being revived is having a renewed sense of God’s presence, power, and holiness within oneself. When you begin to believe the definition of who you are that is outlined in the word of God you will begin to walk with a little more swagger and confidence, like Stella, in the book How Stella Got Her Groove Back by Terri McMillan. So, what does it really mean for you to be redeemed? What effect does redemption have on your day today?

To live like the redeemed means to live free ( from the fear of death) through knowledge, faith, and commitment. Jesus’ redemption, along with our faith in Him, is a gift from God. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s righteousness or forgiveness. Our salvation is not tied to our behavior, attitude, or compliance with religious rules or traditions. When we fully surrender ourselves to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out, we will find the freedom to live a life of hope and love. Your past failures and weaknesses do not define you. Your present misconceptions and sins can be forgiven, healed, and transformed instantly. Jesus made a clear path for you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received (Ephesians 4:1). All that is required of you is to believe, trust, and open your heart to God and live today. Live in the constant communion that God desires with you- and your days will become filled with life-giving transformation and freedom that comes from living in the light of your present redemption. You have been redeemed and rescued by the blood of the lamb and you are set apart with beauty, splendor, worthiness, and purpose. As a child of God, know that you have the power you need from within to conquer the world because you have been delivered from the power of darkness. You are in God’s camp now and there is nothing the devil can do about it! He can’t pull you back in. Sorry, "access denied"! The devil can’t pluck you out of God’s hand: he has lost all rights and privileges to dominate over your life. Bottom line, Jesus’ death on the cross achieved our redemption. And that settles it! In Jesus' Name! Hallelujah!

Prayer

God thank You for Your amazing power and work in our lives. Thank You for Your goodness and for Your blessings over us. Thank You that You can bring hope through even the toughest of times, strengthening us for Your purposes. Thank You for Your great love and care. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You that You are always with us and will never leave us. Thank You for Your incredible sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
