Have you ever waited on God for a miracle while others are experiencing a breakthrough? Does waiting while seeing others receiving a blessing encourage or discourage you? Sometimes it can feel like we're waiting in line and being overlooked. What's hard to realize is — it doesn't always work that way.

There's no telling when things will go our way. But today's verse reminds us to be confident when waiting for a rescue. God will show up for us, but what challenges us is the ability to grow while waiting. What helps us to step back and ask, "What am I waiting on? Why is it so important to me? How can I realize how God works in other areas of my life?" Most important, "Even if what I hope for doesn't come to pass . . . will I continue to trust God?"
