The War on Wisdom Sample
My father always wrote in his Bible, very neatly in the margin. Being too small to read the fine cursive, I always watched and wondered what he wrote. I first recognized the dates in his Bible and copied him by jotting down my significant dates in my Bible. I later tried to mimic how he took notes during sermons. I started underlining passages because I wanted my Bible to be as well read as his. My Mom never wrote in her Bible, but one of my earliest memories of her is one of her kneeling in prayer next to her open Bible, early in the morning.
I was privileged to witness my parents’ love and devotion for Jesus in our house growing up. I now read my Bible because of my love for the Lord and His Word. Hebrews 12:1 talks of a cloud of witnesses cheering us on in our journey. We all have people that witnessed our first steps as followers of Jesus. People teach us God’s commandments. The older I get, the more I realize that wisdom is more about asking and accepting guidance than about knowing it all.

About this Plan
We are at War, a war raging since the day that man decided to choose a way other than following the Counsel of God. But God in His grace gave us the strategy we need to be victorious - His Wisdom. The 'War on Wisdom' is a 5-week reading plan through parts of the book of Proverbs. Our purpose is to help the believer reclaim the Wisdom of God.
