The War on Wisdom Sample
During his professional tennis career, John McEnroe earned numerous championship titles and a place in the Tennis Hall of Fame. He also earned the reputation for his on-the-court theatrics. His fits of rage, fiery comments, and demonstrative behavior became as commonplace as his record-breaking triumphs. Over the years, he was fined thousands of dollars, suspended multiple times, and publicly rebuked for his verbal abuse and misconduct. However, regardless of the penalties, his behavior on the court remained unchanged. This was how he chose to play the game.
No one particularly enjoys critique or criticism. Never will you see someone eagerly running to the front of the line for a strong rebuke. Yet, how we handle correction, advice, or reproof can show us much about ourselves, our character and our teachability. Proverbs 12:15 says “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.”
Foolish persons will resist or reject correction because they do not see fault in their actions. They become defensive or even combative, often leading to their own demise. But a wise person will choose to listen, heed the value of what is being suggested, and apply the truth to their life so it brings about change.
How do you handle correction or rebuke? Do you bristle against it, or do you listen with an open heart, allowing the Lord to strengthen you in wisdom and truth?

About this Plan
We are at War, a war raging since the day that man decided to choose a way other than following the Counsel of God. But God in His grace gave us the strategy we need to be victorious - His Wisdom.
